Do you think their is more than enough titanic web pages out their now & that any new pages just make it harder to find the titanic information you want becouse you keep getting peoples rubbish home made sites taking up all the search engine?
I also just want to say this is only a question I am asking because someone said to me the other day that the web has so many titanic sites its hard to filter through them to find something new. I like to see peoples home made sites but their is a lot of cr-*-ap sites out their that are all just repeating facts they have read & showing pics / clips etc. they have stolen from another titanic site. I was going to make a titanic site but then I thought what could I add to it that someone else hasn't already put online, what would i say that i couldn't say here on titanic.com??? I now think I need to make my web page on a new topic in a style not yet that well web focused, not a titanic site. |

There are alot of webpages that are just taking up space and are not well done. But it keeps the memory of the ship alive in a way...

I agree there are a lot of sites just taking up space. Too many people that got swept up after they saw the movie, made a site, and then forgot about it (which is unfortunate since there are a few that are actually pretty good). It would be difficult to come up with an original site, I may add a Titanic page onto my website at some point. But not a whole website. The page would be only to illustrate my interest and show my feelings through my art, on the subject. I think we have already have enough good and reliable sources available (like this site). NosieRosie has done a good job on her site, she has some rare photos and not so well known info. on her site.

Aww, thanks for that! :) I tried to bring up some pics and info that's not so well known to Titanic fans.... Everyone knows the main stuff, so I tried to find rare stuff!
And yea, I agree, most people just started some sites.... I think I even have one that I've lost track of, and I KNOW my forum is like, dead... :) |
