has everybody forgotten about this site seems only i come as often as i used to.you know it might not be as boring if you people logged on once in a while.

I check the site daily for updates and new comments and posts. I see someone on, I log in, and they leave! Do I have bad breath or somthing?

man there used to be like 5 or 6 members on at one time now its rare to see even 2 at the same time.

Well after disappearing for a year, I'm back.

Its 1:30am and I see 2 members on and 26 guest. Not bad for late night.

Why you think I never really come to this site. no members.

I know this will strike several nerves but its very simple what happened here, the site has too many young ppl posting stupid repedative questions, juvenile arguements and last very little valueable researched information. Quite simply there are many other sites that provide more formal posting rules, doesn't allow childish posts and arguements, and provides members with researched articles not the usual "I think Rose....."
Look back and find the latest post that yields any research, provides useful information about the Titanic or develops a educated topic thread with references that can support a arguement.
I for one prefer several others over this site now but I still stop in.

for me i think it is because i love titanic the ship not the movie..and there are so many posts about the movie and not much about the actual ship....i have been a historian for 18 years and i love the story....i've seen the movie only once....i understand that he had to make up the main characters so he could have more creative freedom....but to me it was like saying"you know the people who sailed are kind of boring, their story isn't good enough for hollywood" and for me being a historian i am tired of trying to correct misinformation about the ship, becauce they saw it in the movie.....and i would love to have conversations about the ship..ant not always having to justify myself, because what i say wasn't in the movie.....and when someone says something different, alot of people jump down others throats..the ship was real 85 years before it was a blockbuster hit.....if the movie turned someone onto titanic...great, if you are now interested in the ship i can tell you so much about it(even family stories about people who sailed...i lost 3 family members) and there are so many others on this site who can help...jsut stop jumping on eachother and ask i a mature manner, and i know me and may others will be willing to help...

Yeah but cameron felt that was the best way, he could of followed the classic night to remember style, going through several charector's, however these days, the way of it seems to be sticking to one person/pair/group and followng them (with encounters of others ofcourse). Can't deni Cameron did a great job of writing these charector's, they are history in them self, everyone knows the story of jack and rose, lets be thankful the film was very accurate. Well, as much as it could of been,

yes the world knows jack and rose...i wasn't saying it wasn't a good movie...but alot of people don't know little lorraine allison...or the goodwin family..that is my point...the real people on titanic are worth learning about too
